The EthernetIP Training Course is a self-paced and self-guided skill development course offered as an enhancement to the existing PLC Training Certification program. The course covers the integration and control of pneumatic accessories over an Ethernet/IP network.

Course Objective
Individuals successfully completing this course will be able to apply their knowledge of CompactLogix PLC Hardware, Studio 5000 Logix Designer software, Ethernet/IP networks, SMC EX260 Fieldbus System, SMC ITV E/P Pressure Regulator, Remote I/O and basic pneumatic circuit theory to the integration and control of pneumatic accessories over an Ethernet/IP network.

  • Pinging a Device's IP Address
  • Assigning IP Addresses Using RSLinx Classic Software
  • Assigning IP Addresses Using BOOTP/DHCP Server
  • Installation and wiring of SMC EX260 Fieldbus Server
  • SMC EX260 Hardware configuration and setup using Studio 5000 Logix Designer
  • Installation and wiring of SMC ITV E/P Pressure Regulator
  • SMC ITV E/P Pressure Regulator Hardware configuration and setup using Studio 5000 Logix Designer
  • Setting up remote I/O
  • PLC communication and integration with Ethernet/IP devices
  • Programming and control of pneumatic circuits with Logix Designer and FactoryTalk View Studio
