This 3-day course equips the Company Officer with the basic leadership skills and tools to perform effectively in the fire service environment. The course will cover when and how to delegate to subordinates, assess personal leadership styles through situational leadership, discipline subordinates, and apply coaching/motivating techniques. This course's target audience includes: Line fire officers, unit commanders, program supervisors, fire or rescue personnel due for promotion or appointment to officer rank or supervisory position within 6 months. The course also targets training officers, staff, or administrative officers of fire and rescue organizations.

Date: April 18-20, 2017, 1800hrs-2200hrs

Tuition: $130 per person (includes electronic student manual)

Laptops recommended, but not required.
