Sorry, we are no longer accepting registrations for this course. Please contact our office to find out if it will be rescheduled, or if alternative classes are available.
This class will offer an in depth, hands on approach to the Art of Forcible Entry. It will cover the basics of the “Gap, set, force” technique, as well as expand on it with real world scenarios. Attendees will practice skills on forcible entry simulators, including confined space forcible entry, low/zero visibility techniques, as well as “through the lock” methods. On scenes where seconds count, don’t be delayed by poor forcible entry skills.
This course will also give you a greater understanding of firefighter survival terminology, developing a survival attitude, increasing situational awareness, and being trained in problem-solving techniques so you can become more self-reliant in an emergency.
Class will meet on March 26, 2018 from 0800 to 1600 hours (extra time if needed after class)
Required Equipment: Turnout gear, SCBA, water bottle. There will be a working lunch (not provided)
Prerequisite: current certified firefighter with chief's approval
The class will be held at Portage Lakes Career Center, 4401 Shriver Road, Uniontown, OH 44685
