The Firefighter Survival Courses are split into two separate and independent courses that are intended to reduce the number of fire fighters killed or injured while performing their duties on an annual basis. They are two 8 to 10 hour class sessions, each course being delivered in a one-day format. The course will give you a greater understanding of firefighter survival terminology, developing a survival attitude, increasing situational awareness, and being trained in problem-solving techniques so you can become more self-reliant in an emergency.
Session I will be March 26, 2018 from 0800 to 1600 hours (extra time if needed after class)
Session II date TBD
Required Equipment: Turnout gear, SCBA, water bottle. There will be a working lunch (not provided)
Prerequisite: Current certified firefighter with Chief's approval.
Tuition: $95.00 (each course)
