This class will offer an in depth, hands on approach to the Art of Forcible Entry. It will cover the basics of the "Gap, set, force" technique, as well as expand on it with real world scenarios. Attendees will practice skills on forcible entry simulators, including confined space forcible entry, low/zero visibility techniques, as well as "through the lock" methods. On scenes where seconds count, don't be delayed by poor forcible entry skills.
This class will also focus on engine company operations. Topics covered will include nozzle selection, knowing the flow, and residential vs. commercial fire attack. Additionally, attendees will gain valuable hands on experience in tactics and techniques for stretching, advancing, and operating the initial attack line.
Class will meet on March 25, 2019 from 0800 to 1600 hours (extra time if needed after class)
