Emergency Service Instructors Certification
This 60 hour course is designed for those who wish to become a Certified in the State of Ohio as a Fire Instructor. This course complies with NFPA 1041 Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications. Students must have 5 years' experience in the fire service and pass the knowledge exam with an 80%. Prior to entrance to this class, you must show proof of passing the Fire Knowledge exam.; In addition, students must complete student teaching requirements and pass the division of EMS Instructor Techniques examination. All course work must be completed within 24 months from the date of your Fire Knowledge exam.
Dates: November 7-12, 2016 Time: 0900-1700 Students will need to complete an additional 10 hours of supervised teaching before taking the State of Ohio certification exam.

Required Textbook: Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, IFSTA Eighth Edition and the Student Workbook

STUDENTS MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE CLASS TO TAKE THIS KNOWLEDGE EXAM.
The preknowledge exams will be offered at 1000HRS.
